Sondra’s name was randomly drawn from 56 million entries to the sweepstakes. After touring the home multiple times at diynetwork.com and entering daily, she never thought this dream would be hers.

Sondra did not answer the initial call from DIY Network, thinking it was someone who didn’t need her immediate attention. When a follow-up email from the network crossed her inbox, she knew she needed to call back. “I couldn’t believe it,” said Sondra after receiving the extraordinary news. “I thought it was a joke at first.”

The retiree and super-fan, toured the home on diynetwork.com and fell in love with the waterfront views and the kitchen. “I love the appliances and cabinets,” she stated.

Sondra, along with her daughter, will be in Vermont soon to visit the home for the first time.
