Season 8, Episode 1

Play Ball

A large backyard gets a baseball-themed makeover from Matt Blashaw and the Yard Crashers crew. A batting cage, custom wooden bleachers and grill for hotdogs complete the look.

Season 8, Episode 2

Rustic Mexican Riviera

A large, nondescript backyard is transformed into a private Mexican Riviera-themed space with areas to play and to entertain. Overgrown trees and plants are trimmed back to make room for a large flagstone patio with a rock-faced kitchen island. The focal point of the yard becomes a large ledge fall water feature created from carved concrete. The addition of a bench made from fireplace flues and a custom fire pit add to the feel of relaxing in a rustic resort. A homemade tree house also gets a makeover to create a retreat that's both family and kid-friendly.

Season 8, Episode 3

The San Francisco Treat

This large backyard was a weed-filled, useless space. The homeowners wanted a place to play while they entertain. So we gave them a regulation size Bocce Ball court bookended with custom made redwood benches. In the center of the yard, they got a pond-less water feature. And a grill station sits atop a new hardscape made of interlocking pavers.

Season 8, Episode 4

Boston Backyard Theater

A Boston couple, who are big sports fans, get an outdoor theater for year round sports viewing parties. A previously bare backyard yard gets a new hardscape, seating wall and fire feature made of stone. Our crew also installs a shade sail over a new grill along with a custom made table.

Season 8, Episode 5

Woodland Retreat

An empty backyard surrounded by woods gets a circular hardscape and a stone fire pit. A giant dogwood is planted next to custom-made furniture. And a new table and benches are made of reclaimed white oak for a perfect outdoor entertainment area.

Season 8, Episode 6

Upcycling the Backyard Space

An empty lot of a yard gets an upcycling makeover by Matt and his crew. They repurpose old used materials to create a privacy wall and concrete pathway. Old metal pipes are used as planters and antique looking window frames are created to add visual interest to an otherwise boring fence next to a Bocce ball court.

Season 8, Episode 7

Matt crashes Blog Cabin 2012

Matt and the Yard Crasher crew head to Blog Cabin in coastal Maine. An overgrown yard gets a rustic elegant makeover anchored by a cobblestone patio with compass design. A curved deck takes in the waterfront view, and a hand crafted repurposed wood bench adds a waterfront relaxation area. A hot tub and stone fireplace make the backyard a cool hangout for the newly revamped Blog Cabin 2012.

Season 8, Episode 8

Cozy French Cottage

A couple is desperate to have their backyard transformed into a cozy French Country cottage before their wedding. So Matt and his team have stepped up to the challenge. Their turning an old world stone wall into seating for a dozen, welding together a wrought iron pergola top to custom faux finished columns, laying cobblestone pavers, and covering the garage wall with stone veneers and repurposed Saltillo tiles. This will be a wedding party goers won't soon forget.

Season 8, Episode 9

Cabo Chic

A drab yard with a pool gets a major facelift from Matt and his team. He adds a contemprory flare by using composite decking. Privacy walls go up and a tiled water feature transforms the boring landscape. And to spice it up even more, the Yard Crashers crew adds a built in fire feature and a fabric draped Cabana.

Season 8, Episode 10

The Rock, Up-cycle and Upscale

This yard gets an upscale makeover and an up-cycle kid area. Composite decking is used to create curved banquette seating and a 100-foot deck. A concrete kid-climbing mountain is created from old appliances. A coffee table four-sided water feature is made of acrylic.

Season 8, Episode 11

Tranquil Stay-cation

This couple is happy to turn an overgrown, desperate backyard into a tranquil stay-cation with a decorative flagstone/rock patio, a fire-pit and custom daybed. The new stamped concrete patio is laid under a chef's dream of an outdoor kitchen, fully loaded with smoker, pellet grill and kegorator. An existing swamp transforms into a functional rock water feature and an old seating area is repurposed wooden potting bench.

Season 8, Episode 12

Urban Yard Greening

This urban backyard gets a badly needed dose of 'green' in this makeover. A toxic garden gives way to a raised redwood-box garden filled with organic vegetables and framed by decorative recycled pallet fencing. The same pallets are also used to create custom outdoor furniture. The space is capped off with a fire and water feature and a sun mural to adorn the fencing.

Season 8, Episode 13

Lush Landscape and Garden Art

This backyard makeover features a gorgeous array of plants, a new kitchen and a custom fire pit atop a botanical stamped concrete patio. Pathways of Connecticut blue stone pavers wind through the new landscape to reveal a raised vegetable garden and a bird bath antiqued statue becomes the new focal point of this quiet sanctuary.

Season 8, Episode 14

A Music Lover's Holiday Yard

DIY Network is ringing in the holiday season Yard Crashers style. Licensed contractor and host Matt Blashaw takes the neglected yard of two music lovers and transforms it into a space that's not only perfect for the holidays, but also year-round entertaining. The new yard includes a dining area with a new patio, custom-built table, an overhead pergola with lights, a remote-controlled back-lit stage with cut out musical notes and evergreen trees that provide privacy and double as holiday decorations. And of course, the front yard gets decked out in spectacular seasonal decor that puts everyone in the holiday spirit.
