Season 1, Episode 6

Backyard Art Stage vs. Pergola Wine & Dine

These neighbors are the classic Mertz meets the Ricardo's and they enjoy playing in each other's backyards. Our first cutting of the Turf begins with opening up the backyard by taking down a section of the fence and re-installing it as a sliding door. Contractor Doug Tolson brings life to a broken concrete patio with diamond cuts and welds an open structure. On the other side of the fence, Contractor Owen Flynn, takes advantage of a hidden side yard and creates a romantic outdoor bathroom area. He continues to warm things up with a rustic stone fire pit and with a nearby yin-yang patio using two different types of flagstone.
