With so much window space, the living room needed furniture to balance out the room. A free floating walnut steel stair case leads upstairs. The shades are lowered by motor and the windows are all made from lead free clear glass seen on DIY Network's Million Dollar Contractor.
In the study, Stephen Fanuka built a new bookcase and wall unit, separating the space from the living room. Additionally, all other millwork in the room - from AC covers to crown molding was newly built for the apartment. Period details - like the carved fireplace mantel and archway over the doors, were restored and reprinted as featured on DIY Network's Million Dollar Contractor.
DIY Network's Million Dollar Contractor, hosted by "Contractor to the Stars" Stephen Fanuka, put an interesting twist to this upstairs hallway seating area. He combined a tufted alcove seat with carpeted walls in the same tone of blue. Storage was provided underneath the seating area.
