Season 3, Episode 1

Overgrown & Underused

Erica and Jeff have an overgrown mess of a backyard and no clue how to tackle it. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick wipes the slate clean and builds a raised deck with a built-in hot tub, a cozy hammock and personalized planters. Stained concrete pavers lead to a pair of lounging areas in the corners of the yard featuring fire and water as focal points.

Season 3, Episode 2

Green Thumb Undone

Landscape designer Sara Bendrick rescues two homeowners from a dead and dying backyard. A patio, barbecue island and shuffleboard table that doubles as extra dining space are just the beginning of their new outdoor dream space.

Season 3, Episode 3

Romantic Rustic Barnyard

Baron and Tenille need to upgrade their backyard to suit them, their two kids and a trio of chickens. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick starts by modifying their existing shade structure to support a pair of hanging day beds to create a grand new entrance to the yard. She also creates a rustic dining area under their existing tree canopy, converts an old playhouse into a palatial chicken coop and builds a tricked-out custom play area for the kids.

Season 3, Episode 4

Lawn & Order

Lisset and Easley's yard has been taken over by their dogs, and landscape designer Sara Bendrick comes up with a plan to accommodate all members of their family. A lengthy dog run will prevent the yard from going to the dogs again, a cozy lounge area will give mom and dad a place to relax and their kids will have their own hideaway with a fun play tent. Plus, the existing cracked patio gets a budget-friendly makeover.

Season 3, Episode 5

Adventure Zone

Landscape designer Sara Bendrick conjures her inner child to create a family-friendly space to play. For the kids, a Plexiglass art easel and a truly organic balance beam. For the parents, a sophisticated seating nook and custom benches with a view.

Season 3, Episode 6

Mid-Century Lounge

Landscape designer Sara Bendrick takes one backyard from junky to funky with a swanky cocktail lounge, deck, seating area and bar.

Season 3, Episode 7

Eco Surf Shack

Grace, Adam and their son, Zealand, are an active family that love being outdoors and entertaining, but their backyard is ill suited for their needs. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick helps them create a space that both reflects their lifestyle and is kid-friendly. Plans include a yoga pavilion for Grace, an outdoor shower and cabana for Adam to clean off after surfing, a relaxing deck featuring a boat lounger and a planted pathway with raised veggie beds.

Season 3, Episode 8

Concrete Overload

Kandice and TK consider themselves handy homeowners, but they have a backyard that is wall-to-wall concrete and they are completely overwhelmed. Scrapping every bit of concrete would be too expensive, so landscape designer Sara Bendrick embraces it. A concrete block wall gets covered with stucco, sections of concrete are removed to add green space, and a raised deck covers up part of it. Other features include a grilling station and dining area.

Season 3, Episode 9

Repurposed and Refueled

TJ and Kate bought their two-bedroom Craftsman because it had a huge backyard with lots of potential. Unfortunately, they are stuck on what to do with it. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick works with their existing features to create an eclectic entertaining space. The rundown pergola gets a facelift and is expanded, a lopsided brick fireplace gets balanced out with a second planter, old windows are stacked to form a wall and create an intimate entertaining space and an old shed is repurposed into a backyard bar.

Season 3, Episode 10

Yard Divided

Vartan and Susie have a decent sized yard, but it's divided up and of little use to them as is. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick devises a plan to unify the space by removing trees and using cascading steps to connect a revamped dining patio and cozy new lounge area. Their kids will get their own play area with a custom-built fort, and the rest of the yard will be spruced up with circular concrete pavers and a vertical garden at the rear of the house.

Season 3, Episode 11

Shady Hillside Retreat

Sean and Rebecca could see the potential in the backyard when they bought their hillside home, but after cleaning up the overgrown space they were stuck on what to do with it. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick anchors the rear of the lengthy yard with a deck and a tranquil water feature to draw people back. A custom fort and a shade garden will keep Sean and Rebecca's kids entertained, and a brick wall is converted into a bench. Salvaged bricks are used to create a barbecue station and a small patio.

Season 3, Episode 12

Vintage Outdoors

Beth and Randy have a passion for both the outdoors and the 1920s, so landscape designer Sara Bendrick combines those two varied styles to create a funky, unique space. A grand, art deco-inspired walkway will spill through the yard with a raised seating area anchoring the center. A basalt water wall along the fence will add a touch of tranquility. The rear of the yard will be transformed with a cozy seat bench wrapped around a natural fire pit, and they'll build a log leg table for dining.

Season 3, Episode 13

Entertaining Entrepreneurs

Marni and Jordan both work from home, and their uninspiring backyard makes them want to stay indoors all the time. Landscape designer Sara Bendrick brings some much-needed style and function to the yard. An obnoxious red patio will be covered with elegant tile, a vertical vegetable wall will hide unsightly utilities and rolling planters will provide easy access to the garage. Other features include a fire pit, a colorful sail shade, and a planted trellis.
