Hit Properties With Nathan Morris
Boyz II Men’s Nathan Morris is flipping luxury homes in Orlando on DIY Network’s new series Hit Properties.
Dated Kitchen
Nathan purchased this 5-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom house for $1.7 million. With a renovation budget of $500,000, he was hoping to sell for $3.2 million — which would make for a generous profit of $1 million.
Opening Up the Space
The home had been vacant for 2 years, and it showed. From the outdated fixtures to the unused space — seriously, the office was *destined* to be a walk-in closet — throughout the house, it was clear to Nathan and his contractor, Bryant Gipson, the whole home was in serious need of TLC.
New Features
The kitchen was opened up, and now features pristine white cabinetry, granite backsplash and a 48-inch range (!!!). The exposed wood beams bring much-needed warmth to the space.
All-White Kitchen
Door panels disguise the not one, but two full-size refrigerators.
*Chef's Kiss*
Future homeowners can channel Ina Garten with chef-grade appliances.
The Island
The mammoth kitchen island is ideal for dinner parties — who’s bringing the rosé?
Fresh Tile
The herringbone tile backsplash will be the talk of all future get-togethers.
Contemporary Breakfast Room
The breakfast room, once covered in brick, now matches the rest of the home with its neutral palette and elegant features.
Not So "Great" Room
This space doesn’t exactly put the “great” in “great room”.
Fresh Flooring
A plumbing snafu during the demo led to the addition of new, darker flooring.
Modern Fireplace
The upgraded fireplace matches the contemporary aesthetic of the rest of the home.
Books FTW
Built-in bookshelves are a big win in the great room.
Natural Light
It’s all in the staging.
