Major Curb Appeal
Host Jason Cameron worked with winning homeowners Randi and Tim Riefenberg to turn their desperate front yard into a summer oasis. The home now has major curb appeal with a fresh coat of bright white paint, attractive landscaping and blooming plants.
Inviting New Walkway
Blooming hydrangeas, a new stone path and charming porch decor greet guests on their way to the front door.
Ultimate Summer Patio
Rani and Tim's new stone patio is ready for summer entertaining with three designed areas: a bar and grill station, dining table and an outdoor living room with a fireplace.
Natural Privacy Walls
It may seem like an odd choice to have an outdoor kitchen in the front yard, but Randi and Tim have natural privacy walls, including giant rock boulders and pine trees, that hide these areas from street view.
Stunning Outdoor Living Room
The most dramatic area of Randi and Tim's new yard is the sunken outdoor living room with a new, giant stone fireplace.
Gorgeous Stone Fireplace
The new fireplace area is perfect for summer s'mores and hotdogs but also transitions into a relaxing spot for fall with plenty of cozy seating and a rustic coffee table.
Dining Alfresco
The patio also features an outdoor kitchen with a huge dining table, bar and grill station. Black metal furniture was used to tie the two areas together.
Coastal Tablescape
The outdoor dining table pops with sea-glass blue drinkware, sky-blue ceramics and teal pitchers.
Beach-Chic Details
The tablescape's coastal details continue with printed paisley napkins and beaded napkin rings.
Al Fresco Dining
The dining table at AMDL features a coastal color-palette with sea-glass blue plates and glasses and jute chair pillows.
Rustic Outdoor Bar
Randi and Tim's DIY bar was made with corrugated steel and a bar top from Tim's reclaimed wood collection. The piece used is hundreds of years old. Metal stools tie the rustic-industrial look together.
Coastal Bar Decor
The beach theme from the dining area continues on the bar top with a vase wrapped in jute rope and an ice bucket with rope handles and metal anchor charm.
Plenty of Seating
The new patio is ready for big parties with plenty of seating areas, including handmade reclaimed wood benches made by the homeowners.
Even More Seating
The new front stoop features a bench with comfy pillows, rug and plants. The additional outdoor living area could be overflow seating for big patio parties.
Stunning at Twilight
The new patio comes to life at sunset with several strings of bistro lights and a roaring fire in the outdoor fireplace.
Kickoff Cookout
After two long days of hard work, Randi and Tim welcomed neighbors, friends and family to their new yard with a cookout party complete with a burger bar and tons of toppings.
Rustic-Industrial Trays
These shallow, metal trays match the rustic-industrial bar and are great for displaying cookout goodies like corn on the cob.
Ready to Party Patio
Randi and Tim said they've learned so much and are proud of their DIY work on the patio. They can't wait to entertain friends and family this summer. "The party is going to be here," said Tim. "We're going to enjoy every single day out here."
