Making Room for Baby

Victor and Carolina are newlyweds, but with 3 dogs and a new baby on the way, they soon realized their tiny cottage with 6 foot ceilings and 700 square feet just wouldn't work. Instead of moving, they decided to what else - rip off their roof and double their living space by adding a new 2nd floor. Under the direction of licensed contractor John DeSilvia, the couple finishes their 2nd floor, a brand new deck..and even a special project for their new baby. With some old fashioned hard work, this couple hopes to turn their cottage into the house of their dreams and keep their budget at least 10 thousand bucks lighter.

Homeowners Tom and Kathryn purchased a "fixer- upper" and had plans to renovate the home over a span of 2 years. With their deadline fast approaching, licensed contractor John DeSilvia steps into to show the couple how to conserve the last bit of their renovation budget while creating the perfect kitchen. This couple plans to extend their existing kitchen and furnish it with new appliances and cabinets. Will they complete their home additions and renovations in time for their 2 year mark?

Empty nesters Hans and Priscilla built their home from the ground up 25 years ago. With the kids gone and retirement on the horizon, they decided to downsize and get their house ready for re-sale. There's just one project left - their master suite that lacks style and organization. They plan to build a dormer which will give them extra space for a larger bathroom and closet. Can Licensed contractor John DeSilvia help them move into retirement 10,000 bucks richer?

Storms, Stone and Sod...Oh My!

Homeowners Roger and Karen Hollander have finally moved into their home after 2 sublets and a nightmare of renovations. Now they are left with limited funds and an eye-sore for a front yard. Host and Licensed Contractor John DeSilvias steps in to help them with a plan of attack, but hurricane winds and torrential rains keep setting them back. With their neighbors pushing them to fix their disastrous front yard and the summer waning away, will they be able to finish on time and under budget?

Homeowners Steve and Denise Pescetti are finally getting the bigger kitchen of their dreams by adding an extra 6 feet to the front of their house. Steve is an accomplished DIY'er who built cabinets in his college days to get by, and he plans to do the same here to save money for some high end appliances. With the help of host John DeSilvia, will they be able to shave off enough of their costs to afford their dream kitchen? Or will the cabinets prove to be a project too big to handle alone?

Veteran 10 Grand homeowners Rob Fery and Jessica Yablow are back again and ready to tackle on another project, their backyard deck. With a boost of confidence from host John DeSilvia and Rob's busy work schedule, they plan on getting the entire deck done in a single weekend to save them time and money. Will Jessica finally lend a helping hand so they can stay on schedule and on budget? Or will history repeat itself with more frustrations slowing them down?

Fresh Beginnings

Homeowner Daniel wants to reclaim his front porch and turn it into a living space ideal for him and his fiance. She's excited about the opportunity to have a little bit of living and cooking space. And he just wants to get it done before wedding and save 10 thousand bucks. Licensed Contractor John DeSilvia plans to make that happen by showing Daniel where he can save much needed cash - including demo, window and door installation and a kitchen renovation. Will Daniel and his fiance start their wedded bliss with a finished house?

Hand-Me-Down Kitchen

Homeowners Greg and Allison Wasserman are excited to leave the city and move into their first home to raise their kids. It just happens to be the home that Allison grew up in. Now, they want to update the 30 year old kitchen they hardly used. With the help of host John DeSilvia, they plan on creating more counter-space, installing new cabinets and floors and updating all their appliances. Will they be able to stay on budget by doing a lot of the work themselves without demolishing Allison's childhood memories?

Den Do-Over

Don and Cheryl Rera were tired of freezing every winter in their existing den, so they decided to do something about it. These homeowners plan to extend the room, insulate it and furnish it with a fireplace and carpet. Licensed contractor John DeSilvia shows these homeowners how to take the money from their contractor and put it back into their pockets. But will this couple hold up to the test of a home renovation, while taking care of their 3 children and a dog and staying within their budget?

Single Seeks Country Kitchen/ I Am a Woman, Watch Me Saw

Homeowner Christina Kebakis has already renovated her upstairs bedrooms, the basement, and is now ready to take on her kitchen. She knows what she wants but isn't sure how to tackle the project or if she's got the money to make it happen. Host John DeSilvia steps in to help her plan her dream country-style kitchen while keeping an antique old store counter as the center piece of her cabinets. Will Christina be able to build the kitchen of her dreams and finally feel at home?

While You've Been Gone

With 3 growing boys and small house, it was time for Marco and Patricia to either move or add on, so they chose to add on. While the rest of his family are on vacation, Professor Marco plans to tackle the extension all on his own during his summer break. Licensed contractor John DeSilvia will show him how to conserve his budget by completing some DIY projects himself, including eco friendly siding, flooring and a complicated patio. Will he have the house ready before his wife and children return home from vacation?

Big Basement Workout

Homeowners Sandor and Hakkyung Kovacs recently moved into a new construction home and now want to finish their huge 2200 square foot basement. With such a gigantic space, they need host John DeSilvia's help to plan where to begin and how to get it done with their now much smaller budget. Between Sandor's work schedule and Hakkyung taking care of their two little ones, they'll have to hustle every free moment they have to get their new basement gym, bathroom and living area done. Will they be able to do the work themselves and save a good chunk of change or will this basement workout knock them out?

Happy Birthday Kitchen

Homeowners Daron and Randi Benbinisti are tired of their outdated and confined kitchen. They want to transform their kitchen into a more open space to better fit the parties they love hosting. With host John DeSilvia's help, they plan on tearing down a wall to open up the kitchen, tearing out a staircase to add more floor, and install all new cabinets. Will this renovation tear up their budget or will they be able to tear into some birthday cake, as they both turn 40 in their dream kitchen?
