Rachel Street Bio
Learn more about Rachel Street of Philly Revival.
General contractor, real estate agent, designer and former opera singer Rachel Street resuscitates Philadelphia’s historic homes in the new DIY Network series Philly Revival. During the series, Rachel saves the homes’ original 18th and 19th century features, such as custom tile murals, stair banisters, turrets and marble fireplace mantles, and then adds modern amenities to turn them into stunning, distinctive properties.
A Philadelphia native, Rachel is a graduate of Temple University and a classically trained singer. She has lived abroad in both Mexico and Italy where she sang opera for three years, and she is fluent in both Italian and Spanish. After returning to the United States, Rachel began working in her family's real estate business. To generate money for her first home construction project, Rachel sold her own house, which she had previously designed and renovated. Today, she buys, designs, renovates and sells homes full time, as well as leads her own real estate team. In addition, Rachel is passionate about helping the local community, whether it's repairing homes at no cost for those in need, teaching English as a second language or participating in neighborhood cleanups.
