David and Michelle Jaime Bio
Learn more about brother-sister duo David and Michelle Jaime.
David and Michelle are born & raised Hawaiians with a passion for residential design and renovation. He’s a licensed contractor heading up a design-build firm, while she’s the co-founder of a creative design studio. By working together, they combine the roles of interior and architectural designer with contractor – ensuring a seamless transition from concept to construction to move-in.
Each sibling has their own design sensibility and opinions. But David & Michelle work hand in hand to create ‘forever homes’ for their clients in Hawaii. As Michelle says, “All our designs tell a story – that’s what makes people passionate about their home.”
And while this pair is close as can be, sibling rivalry also plays a role in their relationship. David and Michelle are constantly pushing each other to be better – think bigger – and bring their clients more amazing homes. Their blunt and often hilarious honesty with each other is what sets them apart in Hawaii’s competitive home remodeling industry. And while they may bicker, at the end of the day it’s all about family – or as they say, ohana. They both agree that their biggest supporter AND most difficult client are the same person – their own mom!
Life on the island isn’t always a vacation, but David and Michelle pride themselves on balancing work and play. Their favorite way to get ready for a long day on the job site is to meet for a surfing session at sunrise – a board meeting. You’ll often find them barbecuing with friends, including their younger step-brother Davin, a junior carpenter for the company. David also likes to dirt bike and scuba dive – hobbies that let him explore Hawaii’s beautiful back country and natural beauty. Michelle enjoys traveling (to other islands in Hawaii and beyond) and thrift shopping.
