Pumpkin Challenge: Old-School Image Transfer Pumpkin
This vintage look was achieved using an old school image transfer method. You’ll love the results!
My Halloween decor style can be described in three words: Wednesday Addams Wannabe. I prefer to avoid sexy nurse costumes, zombies, and October’s excess of orange jack-o’-lanterns in favor of black, white, and bleak. There’s just something so elegant about tombstones and skull etchings, am I right?
So when several of us were challenged to design a Halloween craft pumpkin, I thought it only appropriate to stay true to my style. That’s where I got the idea for this decoupaged pumpkin. The old school image transfer technique gives the object an imperfect, antiqued look that I think is oh-so elegant–just the thing to dress up your mantle or centerpiece. And the best part is, foam pumpkins can be packed away to use year after year!
