Pumpkin Challenge: Emoji Pumpkins
You can make these fun, adjustable emoji pumpkins with a little spray paint and a couple of magnets.
I'm a little obsessed with emojis, so when the Made + Remade bloggers were challenged to create Halloween decor using craft pumpkins, I had to try out this popular pumpkin decorating trend.
To start, I picked out some of my favorite emojis. Of course I couldn't pick just one, so I decided to incorporate magnets to make the faces adjustable. The first step is to spray the pumpkins with yellow spray paint. After letting it dry, I attached three small strips of adhesive magnets in the spots for eyes and a mouth. Then I drew, cut out and painted facial features to create my favorite emojis. After I made the features, I attached small pieces of adhesive magnets to the back of the cardstock. Now I can switch out the features whenever I want. It's like the emoji version of Mr. Potato Head.
Using craft pumpkins instead of real ones make this DIY much easier (and less messy). Plus, it will last for years to come.
