Make Shimmer Shots

Daniel Collopy
Bring two cups of peach juice to a gentle boil. In a bowl, mix: One cup of cold pineapple juice, 1/2 cup of whipped cream flavored vodka. Shake four packets of pure gelatin onto the surface of the liquids. Let stand and thicken for about four minutes. Add boiling peach juice to bowl and stir until it’s all dissolved. Spray the pan with baking-cooking spray to help the gelatin release after refrigeration. Pour mixture into rectangular pan and refrigerate overnight.
*See video above for demonstration.
Flip Gelatin

Daniel Collopy
When it’s time to party, flip the block of gelatin onto a flat, clean surface.
Cut Into Strips

Daniel Collopy
Trim all sides of the gelatin to create nice straight edges. Next, cut the block into strips approximately 1-1/2” wide.
Individualize

Daniel Collopy
Cut strips into individual shots. Each shot should be about 2-1/2” long to create rectangles small enough for guests to pop into their mouths without feeling clumsy. Or – use holiday cookie cutters to create any shape!
Shimmer Your Shots

Daniel Collopy
Shake some edible glitter onto a flat plate. With clean, dry hands, place each shot directly down onto the glitter.
Flip and Serve

Now you have perfectly shimmered shots that your guests will be talking about for a long time.
