Run grain horizontally to make the room look bigger.
Measure and draw outlet locations on the paneling. Drill the pilot holes with a spade bit (Image 1) and finish the outlet cutout with a jig saw (Image 2).
Dry fit the paneling to wall, marking edges of the paneling on the wall for a reference when applying adhesive (Image 3).
Use heavy-duty construction adhesive applied with 1/8" U-notched trowel (Image 1).
Apply about two tubes of mastic per each panel, and spread it out using the trowel making sure to pull the adhesive all the way to the edges. Work fast because the adhesive sets in about 10 minutes.
Put up the first bamboo panel. Start at the center of room so you end up with equal-sized pieces on both ends (Image 2).
