With over 500 lakes in Polk County, life on the water is a big deal at Blog Cabin 2014. Not only is the house lakeside, but this year it also comes with an all-new MasterCraft NXT 20 wakeboard boat. Jason Cameron and the Sledgehammer crew knew that the house needed a place for a fisherman's retreat. By building custom fishing pole storage into this window seat area, this sunroom is both functional and beautiful.
During the Blog Cabin 2014 People's Choice Vote, online voters selected reclaimed wood furniture in leui of refinishing the original wicker. Jason cut and installed these reclaimed beech drawer fronts.
Grundy is no stranger to casting a fishing line. He enjoys the lakes and oceans of Blog Cabin 2014. The next step is filling out the these custom bases with fishing rods.
Of course ample storage is also provided for lures and accessories. Those reclaimed beech fronts are dressed with wooden bobbers that serve as drawer pulls.
By building a custom built-in fishing rod area with integrated seating, Jason and his crew make the most of the shape of the original sunroom. Live flowers, rattan chairs, and vintage lamps round out the decor in this fisherman's paradise.
