This kitchen is a relic leftover from the 1950s. The homeowners agreed to let us renovate it, but we let you decide what elements would go into the remodel. You voted on the style of cabinets, backsplash and more. Browse through the slides to see what you picked.

Cozy Meets Contemporary

You choose rustic-style cabinetry in a light finish then topped it off with a solid-black countertop made from recycled paper. You replaced the ancient sink with a stainless-steel model, and then matched that with a recycled-glass backsplash.

Floor and Fridge

You selected a solid pattern for the linoleum-type flooring. For the fridge, you went with a model that has the freezer on the bottom. A warm cayenne color won the vote for walls.
