Before: Stuck in the '70s
This master bathroom needs a total transformation to bring it back to life. Too-dark countertops, brass swan fixtures, unflattering lighting, an unsightly rock wall and swan wallpaper are just a few of the design "don'ts" this bathroom has been stuck with for years.
After: Welcome Modernity
The homeowners gladly removed the outdated fixtures and materials that were restricting their bathroom. The space now features a giant-sized shower room, luxurious double vanity, high-end concrete floors, modern fixtures, outdoor tub room and plenty of windows to bring in natural light.
After: Outdoor Living
To utilize the unique courtyard located just off the master bathroom, the team decided to turn it into a private, alfresco tub room. For a serene, Zen-like feel, the design team placed the freestanding tub in an 18-inch-deep pond. Collected pebbles and soothing greenery bring the outdoors straight into the tranquil courtyard.
After: Stunning Features
To provide the most relaxing bathing experience, the team added a soothing water feature just behind the bathtub in the outdoor room. Above, a beam of water helps fill up the bathtub to further give the illusion of a natural atmosphere.
