Fun, Easy-to-Make Halloween Decorations
Make Halloween memorable for you and the kids with these clever displays, goodies and more.
Place Setting
Whether you are hosting a party or just want to surprise the kids, creating a cute place setting is easy using black, white and orange paper supplies. Fill a treat bag with a cookie, candy or trinkets and add glitter letter stickers to spell out BOO.
Countdown Calendar
Kids will love counting down the days until Halloween! Using a bulletin board, mini paper bags and printable numbers, you can create this easy countdown calendar. Fill bags with mini candy bars, gumballs or notes.
Candy Corn Apothecary Jars
Whether you love or hate candy corn, it is synonymous with Halloween. Apothecary jars are one of my favorite versatile home decor items. They can be filled with various items based on each holiday or season. For a Halloween idea, I fill them with candy corn colored gumballs and add coordinating ribbon for a finishing touch.
Milk + Cupcakes
For a perfect after-school snack, serve cupcakes along with mini jars of milk dressed up to look like ghosts.
31 Canisters
Displaying the number "31" is a fun idea for Halloween home decorating. These jars typically are typically displayed in 1-2-3 order in my kitchen, but for Halloween I put the "2" jar away and display as "31".
Boo Letters
It is easy to find wooden letters in many sizes and styles at craft stores. Paint or cover the letters with decorative paper and spell out a Halloween appropriate word, like BOO. Find creative ways to display the word like this shown on this sideboard.
Spider Cake
This chocolate spider cake is simple to make using standard 9" cake pans, black frosting, spooky eyes and paper legs. He would be a perfect treat for any Halloween party!
Silhouette Pumpkin
Craft stores carry a variety of faux pumpkins for decorating and crafting. This white pumpkin became much more interesting by simply adding a black silhouette vinyl decal.
