Measure a length of paper to fit the table. Rather than buying each paint color of the rainbow, mix primary colors to form each color.

Apply each color of paint in a long horizontal strip.

Repeat each color until the entire paper runner is filled with color.

Lay the runner on the table before place mats and place settings.
