Introduction

Adiós, Caramel. Hola, Dulce de Leche.
Dulce de leche is sweetened milk heated until it’s reduced down to a caramelized syrup, and it’s delicious. And rather than mixing it with dark chocolate, we’re going to let the flavor shine by pairing it with white chocolate.
Step 1

Pour, Mix, Melt
Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a 3 qt heatproof bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Poke a few holes with the tip of a knife to release steam. Microwave on medium-high for 2 minutes. Carefully peel back the plastic wrap and whisk the salt into the sweetened condensed milk. Recover the bowl and microwave for another two minutes. Whisk the milk mixture and recover with the plastic wrap. Repeat this step one more time or until the mixture is a light brown caramel color. Allow the dulce de leche to cool. Add ½ teaspoon salt to dulce de leche.
Step 2

Melt White Chocolate Chips
Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second increments, mixing after each interval, until smooth.
Step 3

Mix Ingredients
Mix dulce de leche into melted white chocolate.
Step 4

Fill Mold
Pour mixture into ice cube tray or silicone square mold.
Step 5

Insert Spoon and Chill
Insert a spoon into each square. Allow to harden in the fridge for an hour. Unmold carefully.
