Cut Fabric
In order for the fabric to resemble the look of sports-related pom-poms, cut the yardage into 3/8-inch strips using fabric scissors along cutting mat.

Once fabric is cut, wrap it around tassel tool until entire strip has run out.

Layer several strips on top of one another.

Coordinate ribbon around tassel tool.

Tie along the top.

Cut Wrapped Fabric and Ribbon
Once all fabric strips and ribbon have wrapped the tassel tool and have been tied along the top, cut to size with fabric scissors.

Lay Runner Out
Lay runner out on a flat, level surface. Run needle and thread through the base of the pom-pom, then up through each of the four ends of the table runner.

Secure in Place
Once attached, space all pom-poms out along the sides, keeping equal distance between them, then securing in place with needle and thread.
