Fun With Felt: Craft an Easy Faux Halloween Candy Banner
Get an assist from the kiddos to craft a batch of felt candy, you can then turn into a 'sweet' Halloween banner that you can display year after year.

Nothing says Halloween quite like candy. The two are practically synonymous. Now you can make a batch that won’t rot your teeth and will last from year to year.

This easy felt garland can be made in any combination of colors. Use larger pieces of felt for bigger candy. Also, once you have the basic design down, you can make candy for any occasion, like birthdays, or holidays (Hello Christmas!).

Supplies
- stiff craft felt
- paper cutter (or scissors and ruler)
- hot glue and glue gun
- pompoms
- small bows
- lollipop sticks
- garland
The felt Halloween banner consists of 3 types of candy. All three use strips of stiffened craft felt.

Using a paper cutter or a ruler and scissors, make several strips of Halloween colored felt.

The licorice squares are each (4) 2X2” pieces of felt. Cut squares and glue together.

Add a pompom on top or other decorative embellishment. Attach to garland with hot glue.

Yarn pompoms look like pieces of Halloween candy when small felt pennants are added to each side to act as wrappers.

Add pompom candy to the garland as-is or wrap it in a small amount of clear cellophane first.

Felt lollipops are made with long strips of felt rolled into circles. Hot glue is added every so often to hold the roll in place.

Add a lollipop stick and bow to the base before attaching to the garland.

All that's left to do is to hang the felt candy garland and remind the kids that this is not the kind you can eat.
