“This is the area of that is going to be in the shade during sunset, so it made sense to add an indoor and outdoor space,” says build and design manager Dylan Eastman.

The side of the home, capped with a slanted metal roof, draws attention to the modern mountain style. The outdoor dining area is easily accessible via sliding doors in the kitchen.
Rockin Out
Idaho diamond, a locally-sourced stone used in this pathway design, is incorporated throughout the interior and exterior design.
Must-Have Herb Garden
The vertical garden is a perfect combination of low-maintenance and high-function. A drip irrigation system provides water at the right time to to keep fresh herbs thriving.

The steel countertop is bent to give you a bar top for easy entertaining.

“We designed just enough lawn to make you feel like you have a yard,” says Dylan. “You can mow it quickly and gives you a softer place to hang out and play yard games.”

A ring toss and a picnic blanket invite family and friends to lay in the grass on a sunny day and enjoy time together.

“All the plantings in this space are irrigated, which reduces the maintenance,” explains Dylan. “It’s only getting the amount of water it needs and it’s getting it at night.”

A mix of local plants and dramatic hardscape beds surround this modern mountain retreat, making it the perfect setting to watch the sun set.
