Interior framing of Blog Cabin 2010 is complete.

The Catskill Farms crew prepares to install two 8-foot exterior sliding doors.

The new layout for the refrigerator cabinet, the stairs to the basement and the laundry area is based on bloggers’ suggestions.

Electricians string wires in the great room.

A view from the hallway showcases what will soon be one of the guest rooms.

A view from the master bedroom into the master bath shows the area that will house a steam shower, a soaking tub and a double sink. The bedroom will feature a door to the deck.

Rough plumbing pex tubing has been installed in the master bath area. The pipes are capped off, with air pressure, in preparation for the building inspector’s sign-off.

The guest bathroom will feature an extra-deep tub.

Primed finish lumber is stacked neatly in the garage. The siding crew will use the wood to construct soffits, fascias and siding corners.

Blog Cabin 2010 will feature a large two-car garage, plus a small one-car garage on the other side of the home.

The back deck is framed up with pressure-treated lumber. Trex decking will be installed over the frame.

New sliding doors will open out onto the back deck. These doors will provide 112 square feet of glass that take advantage of pastoral views.

A side view of the home showcases an additional garage opening into the basement.

Cedar shake and the metal roof are staged for installation.

A view from the front yard shows the front porch with exposed rafters, trimmed windows and house wrap installed in preparation for siding.

The front porch will come alive with stone pillars, tapered columns, beadboard ceilings, exposed rafter tails and cedar shake accents.

A mulled double-hung window unit will allow light to flood interior spaces.

A window in the laundry room will provide picturesque views of the countryside.
