Starry Night

Episode DUCT-220

The Massachusetts-based Artisan Women of Worcester re-interpret the classic Van Gogh painting "Starry Night," as a crafty fiber art wall hanging. Dharia begins the project by custom dying plain white wool roving into the color palette used by Van Gogh. Sarah and Dayna then continue the project by sorting the wool into the composition over a felt base, needle felting them together, and adding embellishments. Unlike the real "Starry Night," the result is one piece of art that is actually meant to be touched!
