Steve Magnante became obsessed with cars at the age of five when his mom gave him his first Hot Wheels car. From there it was plastic model kits and then a never-ending succession of full-size cars, some running, some not (yet). With a bachelor’s degree from Clark University and 20 years of hands-on experience, Steve sees cars as a mixture of engineering, art, fun, and trouble. Since his move to Southern California, he has been a frequent contributor to numerous car magazines such as Mopar Action, Popular Mechanics, Chrysler Power, Super Chevy, and Hot Rod.
