What if you gave a couple of landscape professionals 48 hours to completely redo a backyard? No problem, right? But there's a catch. What if they don't even get to see the yard until the day before the job, and were not allowed to meet the homeowner? On DIY Network's Yardcore , landscape professionals Jake and Joel Moss are ready to set homeowners up with the yard of a lifetime, and take on all the challenges of making it happen. They will only get a quick tour of the yard and a five-minute tour of the home's interior to get clues, and then make it all happen in 48 hours — without ever meeting the homeowner until the final reveal! For one lucky homeowner willing to take a chance, this could be like winning the landscape lottery. Yardcore is a landscaping series that makes the impossible possible!

Ultimate Outdoor Lounge

The Brothers Moss transform a complete disaster of a yard into an outdoor lounge feel that the entire family can enjoy. Honing in on the homeowners contemporary style and need for usable outdoor space, a backlit wall with a custom redwood bench extends from the side of the house. A stamped concrete fire pit and a one of kind mosaic tile water feature dominate the center of the yard. This yard is complete with a family activity area with a football field made from long lasting synthetic turf.

Entertainers Wine Lounge

Jake and Joel Moss turn a massive blank slate of a yard into an outdoor lounge inspired by the homeowners' love for wine and entertainment. Three wine bottle walls provide the perfect amount of privacy to enjoy the terraced BBQ station and wine bar. A contemporary fire bowl sits atop a patio of pavers interwoven with artificial turf to lend to the modern feel. Modular planters, ample seating, and rustic landscaping bring a taste of wine country to this backyard.

Rubicon Trail

Jake and Joel Moss take a backyard that's loaded with mounds and mounds of trash and turn it into a High Sierra hilltop perfect for a jeeping adventure seeker. The brothers take inspiration from the Rubicon Trail, a well known passage used by off-road vehicle enthusiasts in California's High Sierras. They build a luxury campsite complete with an historic logging flume waterfall that spills into a serene pond, bring in huge mountain top boulders, fashion a firepit out of moss rocks that doubles as a barbeque, and forge a trailway big enough for a jeepster to park his rig on to enjoy the peace and quiet of the regal yet rustic space.

Eclectic Entertainers Paradise

Jake and Joel Moss upgrade a blank space backyard into an entertainer's paradise. A massive fireplace made from a reclaimed diesel gas drum and concrete warms things up with seating on either side. A circular redwood deck floats on top of the new sod creating a lounge area with custom redwood chairs. To top it off, a new concrete patio is poured to house a metal and redwood pergola with a bar below accented by decorative tin tiles.

Rustic Asian Retreat

Jake and Joel use the homeowner's rustic Asian style to turn this uninspired backyard into a tranquil outdoor retreat. The focus of the yard is a massive metal elephant water feature popped by reclaimed fence-board walls that create a stunning sunray effect. Two natural stone seat walls are topped off with a custom grape stake trellis that represents the elephant's tusks. A flagstone walkway leads to a fire feature made of reclaimed tractor parts, as boulders and lush landscaping are placed perfectly to complete this yard.

Jake and Joel create a one of a kind outdoor living area in an eclectic nod to the homeowner's love of art and style. A truly unique privacy wall made from vintage doors anchors the yard, connecting to the dining area with a custom Murphy bed table that folds down to reveal a hand painted Japanese art piece. A raised fireplace, cooking station faced in reclaimed wood and lush landscaping round out this stunning space.

Shabby Chic Outdoor Living Space

Jake and Joel Moss turn a boring backyard into an outdoor living room that reflects the homeowners' love for shabby chic style. A raised deck is topped with a large shade sail and vintage tin panel walls create an elegant backdrop. Off the deck a patchwork patio blends a mix of concrete, gravel and brick pavers inspired by the homeowners' quilting hobby. At the center of it all is a wrap-around grill island faced with a reclaimed cabinet door mosaic.

Log Cabin Fever

Jake and Joel stay true to the homeowner's style and makeover a backyard that is inspired by classic log cabin style architecture. A 7-foot rock covered fireplace is topped off with a hand made copper hood. Custom saw blade sculptures sit on top of live edge walls that flank the fireplace. A reclaimed crane mat deck extends through the yard with round timber rails as support. Custom furniture, new sod, and mountain like landscaping round out the yard.

Boardwalk to Boathouse Bling

Yardcore goes lakeside to get the Blog Cabin party started the second guests step off the boat. They'll turn a blasé boardwalk and boat dock into an upscale club setting that boasts cantilevered platforms studded with flowy native palms, a custom bar island faced with plantation style shutters set on top of locally raised cypress stumps, a second floor open deck with statuesque Ipe railing and hand built adirondack lounge chairs, and floating hammocks set over a party platform that sports a big screen television.

Vintage Traveler's Paradise

Jake and Joel clue in on the homeowners love of all things travel to bring some international intrigue into this bland backyard. This Mid-Century Modern design starts with a retro style lounge topped by a stunning, gold-metal sunburst pergola. Supporting the pergola is a huge lodge-pole ringed with jack-leg chairs and an antiqued old-world map table. A brick patio, custom benches, a custom art wall, and a one-of-a kind steel globe fire feature finish off the yard.

The Brothers Moss take on an overgrown mess of a yard and create a tropical paradise custom built for casual gatherings. A metal bamboo archway beckons visitors to stroll down the dolomite pathways with retro hanging lights stuffed full of Christmas lights. Further back, a 6-sided palapa and seating area provides a nice place to suck down an adult beverage, while an art-infused barbeque/fire pit area finds inspiration from the homeowners eclectic style with chairs made from the body parts of mannequins.
