Taste of Tuscany

This unique three-tiered waterfall with stone trough is faced with rustic steel panels that add privacy and provide an impressive visual backdrop to a new patio seating area.

Color Splash

A bright blue and bubbly urn fountain adds color and charm to the landscape in a newly remade San Diego backyard.

Modern Urban Oasis

Matt and the crew created this outdoor retreat for two restaurant owners who were overwhelmed by a badly overgrown backyard.

Contemporary Design

The makeover included this modern and stylized waterfall feature surrounded by ornamental grasses and plants.

Rustic Country

A once-shabby backyard is transformed into this woodsy retreat with a natural waterfall and pond.

Urban Green Space

Matt Blashaw gave this formerly barren backyard a much needed dose of green and topped it off with a water feature that brings a distinctively industrial flair.

Creative Repurposing

The metalwork water feature is fashioned out of common industrial pipe. Other recycled and reclaimed materials include salvaged pallet wood used to create a custom fence and outdoor furniture.

Tropical Getaway

In this Sacramento backyard, a custom waterfall is installed against the existing back wall and offset by new landscaping with tropical plants, a stone path and geometric accents.

Sound Enhancement

The waterfall is both decorative and functional. The sound of the water helps mask the noise from nearby passing trains.

Upscale and Up-cycled

This backyard makeover included the creation of an outdoor dining space and adjacent 100-foot deck.

Multifunctional

The table, which also serves as a water feature, is made out of clear acrylic, filled with smooth beach pebbles and topped with and a glass tabletop. Water flows down the table's sides and into the bed of stones below.

Country French Inspired

Formerly a barren lot strewn with broken concrete, this backyard in La Mesa, Calif. received a complete makeover that included a privacy fence, pond and three distinct hardscape areas. A redwood bridge connects the spaces and helps add to the rural feel.

The Allure of Falling Water

A cascading waterfall and stream were among the features incorporated in this La Mesa backyard transformation. Other key additions included raised beds, a space for growing vegetables and garden statues.

Open and Airy

Reflecting the homeowner's sense of style and passion for entertaining, this outdoor space was designed with the intent of being both comfortable and contemporary.

Beneath the Waves

Designed and built by Alan Polinsky, this undersea-themed water feature, set behind a bed of blue stones, adds a touch of color and whimsy.

Wine Barrel Haven

Matt Blashaw drew on the homeowners' fascination with wine barrels as inspiration in creating this pyramid-shaped water feature as well other elements in the backyard design.

Beachy Retreat

In this backyard redesign, intended to suggest the tranquil atmosphere of a beach resort, a textured slate water-wall adds a visual focal point and gives the space an enhanced sense of depth.

Kermit's Favorite Water Feature

A bright green ceramic pedestal, nicely complemented by lush foliage, offers an eye-pleasing accent near a new outdoor dining area. This Houston landscape makeover deliberately employed bold color combinations and other offbeat touches to reflect the homeowners' aesthetic.

Rustic in the Redwoods

In this home in the Sierra foothills, a formerly boring backyard gets a redress with a redwood deck and pergola, outdoor kitchen and this custom water feature.

Water Ring

In the custom designed water feature, water sprays in a crisscross pattern and flows into the rocks below.

Rain Curtain

To add a bold visual statement in a new outdoor home theater, Matt and the crew installed this massive water feature with pedestal-mounted fire urns on either side.

Wood and Water

In a Sacramento backyard redo, the Yard Crashers crew created this impressive water feature using reclaimed wood.

Water Arc

Streams of water form a delicate arc over the reclaimed wood wall.

Family Friendly Getaway

A Sacramento home gets a backyard transformation that includes a stone patio, covered dining area and unique trellis water-curtain.

Iron and Stone

A trellis water curtain borders the new outdoor dining space. A close-up reveals some of the ornate detail.

Hillside Vintage

Matt and crew make the most of the hillside terrain in this Auburn, California yard crash. To add an offbeat flair, antique oil jugs are employed to create a waterfall that cascades down the terraced hillside.

Country French Redux

Matt Blashaw constructed this concrete-and-stone arched water feature as part of a backyard makeover in which the homeowners' desire was to invoke a country French feel.

Vegas Gabion Getaway

In this Las Vegas backyard, Gabion baskets stacked with stone provide a unique retaining wall and were also used to create this water feature surrounded by synthetic turf.

Party Pavilion

For this yard crash, the family wanted a space suited to entertaining and hosting parties for their kids. Matt comes through when he transforms the once-boring yard into party central. Among the new amenities is this seating area with both water and fire features.
