Season 1, Episode 12

Born and raised out west, Lori Corbett has always been a naturalist, though birds have always had a particularly strong pull. And living in the stunning foothills of the Grand Tetons, she’s had plenty of opportunity to see some spectacular birds!

She’s dabbled in art most of her life, but it wasn’t until she discovered working in wood that she settled on a medium. Today, Lori Corbett is considered to be among the very best at capturing the natural wonders of birds in wood. On this episode, Lori demonstrates her techniques in carving a blue bird that’s so realistic, it’s almost impossible to tell from the real thing.
