Episode 1307

Ken Froehner and his wife Kristen have had a very busy year. In the last 365 days, they got married, had a baby, bought a house and completely renovated it. Now before they can move in to their new home, there is one more thing that needs to be completed, the basement, but after months of renovation Ken and Kristen no longer have the energy or the time. So they reached out to the Man Caves team to come in and take over. Since Ken is extremely proud of his job as a lineman, we decided that we are going to make him a High Voltage Cave that can even take care of his family while he is out taking care of others. With a whole house natural gas generator, a custom high voltage bar and a brand new pellet stove, this cave will be one of the most electrifying caves in the area, especially if all the electric goes out.

Nikki and Caleb Grandy are renovating their combination kitchen/great room area to better reflect their personal tastes and to truly make their house a home for their family. The existing tile floor running throughout the areas will be removed to make way for hardwood and the young couple will assemble a custom oversized island that Nikki designed herself. The existing kitchen cabinets will remain intact, albeit freshly painted, but new concrete countertops will be installed throughout. The high ceilings and sheer magnitude of the space won't make this renovation easy, but the Grandys are confident they can handle anything together.
