Chris and his team head to Blog Cabin Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to transform the lower yard into a mountain retreat space that maximizes the amazing lake view. He builds a 20-foot long waterfall with rustic wood and metal bridge. Nearby he creates custom metal and wood benches to flank the fire pit that sits on a massive locally sourced flagstone patio. In addition, he creates a private space for a cedar hot tub, a nature path with a one-of-a-kind lodge bench and an industrial ceiling for the indoor/outdoor game room.

Taz and Gumbo are native New Orleanians who like to party and eat with their friends and family. They have a large yard but it's uninviting, overgrown and ugly. Chris looks to the quintessential New Orleans courtyard for inspiration and transforms their space into the perfect place for crawfish boils. He starts with a large brick colored paver patio and adds a cedar pergola with iron posts. He creates a fire pit area and builds a custom crawfish table with a grill island, a bar, and dual crawfish burners. He surrounds the patio with lush tropical plants and adds a sugar kettle water feature. Finally, he turns salvaged shutters into a unique gate.

These homeowners love the great outdoors! Chris delivered their love to them, which includes a natural stacked stone fire pit and redwood log benches, and decomposed granite patio. A massive gable style pergola with an outdoor kitchen loaded with a stainless steel BBQ grill, a granite counter prep station and a combination pizza oven and smoker all in one. Adjacent to the grill is a live redwood edge countertop and a stoned faced bar. A large family style dining table with redwood stumps for chairs, a beautiful stone water feature and a brand new colored stamped concrete patio with colorful lush plants surrounds the entire yard.

Homeowner Danae begged Chris to come home with her, and when he did, he agreed that her bi-level patio was uninspiring and dull. Denae and her husband want a contemporary usable space to eat dinner, cook and relax. Chris delivers with a sleek design that includes a wood overlay for the lower patio, a tile overlay for the upper patio and a colorful wood retaining wall. He also includes a fireplace and lounge seating for below, a custom dining table for above, and a modern water feature. Finally, he adds lots of trees and funky topiaries to ensure privacy.

He adds a corrugated metal and wood privacy fence, upcycled wood crates as raised planters, and low growing native landscape so as not to impede on the view.

Pedro and Alicia purchased their Eichler home and have spent time redoing the inside but have neglected the outside. It's a messy space with no flow and no shade. The couple begged Chris to help them transform it into a mid century modern entertaining space. Chris starts with demoing the existing cracked concrete pad and replacing it with concrete squares in a grid pattern. Pedro is a chef so Chris adds a large 'L' shape kitchen & bar island faced in metal mesh, and an herb garden. For Alicia, he includes a large metal shade structure over a dining space. The rickety block wall is replaced with a cement and glass block water wall to become the yard's focal point.

Nearby, he adds a custom wood plank table that is covered with a bright shade sail. Chris upcycles Eric's home-made bench into a bar and tops it with a cantilevered pergola. He also gives Eric an outdoor shower with privacy walls made from shutters. In the center of the space he includes a low bowl water feature surrounded by grass and lush landscaping.

A one-of-a-kind sports scoreboard is created for their energetic baseball loving family along with new sod and surrounding plants!
