Season 2, Episode 10

Rustic Bocce Oasis vs. Tree Trunk Pavilion

For this challenge, Team One is ready to say goodbye to their soggy mud pit of a yard. First, poured concrete is carved and molded to mimic flagstone, tree trunks and boulders. The team also gets to work on a pondless waterfall, a redwood pavilion with tree-trunk posts and some carved flagstone seat walls. Team Two turns a forgotten side yard into a synthetic bocce oasis and then constructs an oversized pergola out of wood and corrugated metal. The team repurposes airplane landing strips into a decorative water-and-art feature, and they finish things off by stacking railroad ties high enough to create a comfortable seat wall.
