Season 2, Episode 6

Mulberry Deck vs. Eco Farmland

To start things off in this competition, Team One transforms a neglected mulberry tree into a slick, contemporary decking area. Then, an overgrown sloped hill is contained with a dry-stack stone wall and a raised planting bed. A dilapidated metal overhang structure is removed, and a tongue-and-groove solid-panel overhang structure is built to cover a new outdoor living and cooking space. Over on Team Two, the crew turns a barren yard into sustainable, edible farmland. A large, colorful chicken coop and sheep pen are built with redwood and galvanized wire mesh. Plus, off to the side a decorative spiral garden is filled with a unique selection of edible herbs and plants.
