AFTER: The great room has gone from warm and earthy to a sleeker and cooler vibe. The former sandy-brown floors, ivory walls and beige furniture have been replaced with darker hardwood, crisp white walls with grey accents and new furniture in metallic and grey as featured on DIY Network’s original series Rev Run’s Renovation.
Instead of cluttering the basement sitting area, these vintage video game consoles were tucked into a small alcove in the downstairs common room. Not only are these giant machines kept out of the way, but the bright white walls serve as the perfect backdrop to display fun, colorful memorabilia. AFTER: The wall unit has been removed and this sleek, modern gas fireplace, with flat-screen TV mounted above, has taken the place of a no-longer-used fish tank. The wall behind is painted in a muted grey, subtly offsetting the white walls in the rest of the room featured on DIY Network’s Rev Run's Renovation.
