Season 5, Episode 1

House Crashers Visits Blog Cabin

Josh and his crew head to Virginia to crash the 2011 Blog Cabin. Josh joins Blog Cabin host Matt Blashaw to transform the great room in the 1905 home, which sits on nearly 16 acres. The space has million-dollar views of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding wetlands, so Josh and Matt concentrate on projects that won't compete with the spectacular natural backdrop. Using mostly reclaimed wood from the original home's framing, they build an accent table, book shelves and a built-in bar. They also add a slate surround to the fireplace, wainscoting on the walls and create a moveable window seat.
