Season 5, Episode 1

House Crashers Crashes Blog Cabin

House Crashers host Josh Temple is heading to Virginia to crash the 2011 Blog Cabin with Matt Blashaw! Josh has a massive transformation planned for the great room in the 1905 home, which sits on nearly 16 acres. The room has million-dollar views of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding wetlands, so Josh concentrates on projects that won't compete with the spectacular natural backdrop. Using mostly reclaimed wood from the original home's framing, Josh and Matt build an accent table, bookshelves and a built-in bar. They also add a slate surround to the fireplace and wainscoting on the walls and create a moveable window seat. This incredible makeover is just the beginning of what will be a luxurious farmhouse for one lucky viewer.

The Ultimate Outdoor Escape

Inspired by the breathtaking views, an outdoor space wraps the side of the house, providing shade from the intense midday sun. A pergola roof, vertical garden and grill station create the ultimate outdoor escape.
