Dean and Derek saddle up and travel to Oklahoma to build an outdoor stone fireplace using a unique do-it-yourself kit that turns a challenging undertaking into a trouble-free weekend project. They start with a concrete patio as the base. For the fireplace, they use a kit with numbered pieces made from a secret lightweight concrete mixture that won't crack under extreme heat. Dean and Derek set the modular sections with mortar and then line the firebox with fire brick. When the kit is complete, they cover the fireplace unit with natural veneer stone and top it off with a copper chimney cap. It's so easy they have time left to round up and brand a herd of cattle...or maybe just roast marshmallows.
