A dated, mismatched Cape Cod kitchen is in need of some serious updating and Dean and Derek are up to the task! Granite countertops have been on the market for ages - with polished and honed finishes - but Dean and Derek are working with something new: a textured "antiqued" finish that highlights granite's unique character. From creating digital countertop templates to visiting the fabricator's shop to using household items, Dean and Derek have all the tips for easily installing granite. Then, to offset the solid and sturdy countertop, Dean and Derek add a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted, limestone mural backsplash with the help of artist Nancy Ellen O'Brien. Two worlds -and maybe two cousins - collide when rough and tumble meets soft and subtle for an unbelievable stone kitchen makeover.
