The right storage units can help organize any crafter or stow often-used tools in style. Mounting storage units on block walls can be tricky. To give a wider range of storage options, mount 2x4 lumber to the walls with anchors designed for use with block walls. Remember to drive anchors into the center of blocks instead of in between the blocks for a more stable hold.
Before drilling any holes, determine the type, number and placement of the storage units. Then, secure 2x4 lumber to the wall to provide "studs" for attaching the units. Make sure to keep the lumber pieces level and plumb.
Install storage units according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use screws or other recommended hardware to attach the pieces to the lumber.
