When the city needs more juice, you just can't shut off the power in Times Square, you have to splice together live power lines. For the first time in history, New York City's power company, Con Edison, allows television crews to film inside a City manhole. First, Jason Cameron receives a crash course in high voltage with instructors using a hot dog to demonstrate what could happen if a mistake is made. Next, he tries to climb an 80 foot telephone pole that normally requires weeks of training. Finally, a Con Ed crew takes Jason to Times' Square, home of some of the highest voltage manholes in the World, where Jason helps splice two power lines in a manhole supercharged with 13,000 volts.
