    • Fireplace with Vaulted Alcoves, Just moved into our new home, and have pondered this space for a while. Need some help with sleek, but low maintenance ideas. Uploaded more photos, and really appreciate the comments. Agree with two toned Alcove idea, and advice on type & size of art.

What should I do with the deep alcoves top right & left?!?

BTW....We packed our photos in the car (during the move), so until we're unpacked...we have a "shrine" happening on the fireplace mantle.

    • small old 1.5 bathrooms... doing the best they can, If you are familiar with my work you know I don't claim to have the best of spaces, in fact I know they're far from great, but what I DO take pride in is my ability to work within strict space, financial and regulation limitations, as I move from one old rented space to the next. Here are my 1.5 bathrooms in this cool 1965-built highrise apartment where location reigns supreme over interior, which I rent, unable to paint or in this case remove old peeling wall paper and outdated vanities. My attempts to squeeze some lemonade have yielded this French cottage influenced full bath, and Jerry Garcia influenced half bath. After all you have to keep your home a happy place, right? These make me happy without breaking my bank or spirit. In truth I don't seek high marks (These are more fun than model, I know)... I just like to offer ideas to others since I have come here in the past for some of my own., Bathrooms Design

    • Jocelyn's Simple Elegance, My wife and I went with a soft pink theme with neutral accent colors for our baby girl's room. As far as wall decor, we wanted to keep it simple and relaxing, with a single staple piece. We both wanted Jocelyn's name printed big above the crib, but wanted something more custom than we were finding in stores. I found exactly what we were looking for, completely out of the box from what I was thinking. The letters above her crib are actually from a soundproofing company I found online called Audimute Acoustic Panels. As first time parents, we were a little skeptical about what kind of material would be in the nursery, but we were super excited to see they're made out of eco-friendly recycled cotton and newspaper. And they were completely customizable, in the font, size, and color we wanted to perfectly match our design., Nurseries Design
