Easy Cranberry Sangria

Add a little holiday spirit to a classic sangria recipe. This drink is delicious served warm or chilled.

Sangria is good just about anytime. To give it some holiday flair you might need a little something extra. Cranberries are just the thing. The tartness of the cranberries works perfectly with the sweetness of the drink and the fragrant citrus. Cinnamon adds a little spice and sets the stage for a chilly-weather party.

The Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 1/3 cup orange liqueur
  • 1-1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/3 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 green apple, chopped
  • 1 red apple, chopped
  • 2 oranges, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • cinnamon stick garnish

Add wine, brandy, orange liqueur, cranberry juice and sugar to a large pitcher. Stir to blend until sugar is completely dissolved. Add fruit and chill for at least one hour to chill and allow the fruit flavors to blend with the liquids. Serve chilled with fruit and a cinnamon stick garnish.
