Last Minute Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

Egads, it's almost Valentine's and you're still stumped for a gift? Try one of these last-minute life savers.

We've all been there: man, woman, child. You are hours or minutes away from Valentine's Day, heck, maybe already headed home on VD and you have nothing to show for it. While we can't do anything to help with your procrastination issues, maybe one of these quickie ideas can save you from the dreaded Valentine's Day experience of coming home empty-handed.

Friday Before

Look at you, thinking so far in advance! You've got enough lead time to rustle up the ingredients for an amazing Valentine's or Galentine's Day party. And with the whole weekend ahead of you, you could even tackle a bevy of more involved crafts. Now giddyup!

One Day Away

Don't panic: you still have some time to pull together a memorable treat, whether it's a special cocktail, or simple recipe.

Or, if you are really pressed for time, you have until 1 p.m. eastern time Feb. 13 to order these cool tulips-on-the-bulb from Stargazer Barn that can be creatively displayed in a dish or glass vessel to set you apart from the person who picked up their flowers at the grocery story (see below). So order flowers, stat!

Day Of

OK, we get it. You're busy. You had a mountain of work and a busy weekend with no time to slip away to buy a gift. There's still time to whip up something special with ingredients you have at home. Or get creative with some blooms from the grocery store: tie them up with tissue paper and a grosgrain ribbon or wrap some simple tulips in burlap for a rustic, artisanal look. Buy a simple glass vase on the way home to present your flowers in, or head to the thrift store for a novel, interesting container for your posies. It's time to put your creative energies to good use my friend.
