Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove outlet plates and switch plates that run along the backsplash area. Measure the backsplash area and make a drawing and cut list. Try to work in four-foot sections, this will ensure that the wainscotting will line up easily. Remember to note the exact location of electrical switches and outlets.
