Working with volunteer parents, host Paul Ryan creates a bright, welcoming new kitchen in the children's floor of a hospital. In this one episode makeover, we'll address how to create a kitchen that is ADA (American Disability Act) compliant but still feels like home.

First Paul puts in vinyl strip flooring -- it's faux wood but looks like the real thing. Cabinets that have been modified with higher toe kicks for wheelchairs accessibility are set in. Then the solid quartz countertops, stainless steel sink and faucet are installed. To complete the makeover, appliances fit for a gourmet's kitchen are brought in to create a home away from home.
