Great Plains Party Room

Episode DIND-308H

Dean and Derek head to the Great Plains to create a rustic, outdoor party space. New parents Doug and Brooke Brant have their hands full with their first child, a brand new home, and a group of friends about the size of their hometown's population. Doug and Brooke prefer to party outside in their prairie-viewing backyard and that's where Dean and Derek step in. They'll help create an Okie-themed, barbeque-throwing, "down-home"-style party room. For the room's foundations, Dean and Derek show off their masonry muscle with a gorgeous flagstone patio, while up top they build a red cedar pergola. Then-to beef up the room's barbequing credential-they'll install a large kitchen island with a gas grill, side burner, refrigerator, and bar seating. On the other side of the patio, Dean and Derek will add another guest-gathering spot with a propane-fueled fire pit and seating area. By the time they're done, Dean and Derek will take the Brant's backyard from plain prairieland to party perfection!
