How to Use a Biscuit Joiner
Biscuits are a quick and simple way to join wood. They can be used in many situations where a strong, inconspicuous joint is required.
Screw one of the 2" x 2" x 3/4" blocks of wood flush to one side of the base.
Place the 1/4" plywood under the base. Line up the second block so that it's flush with the bottom of the plywood (Image 1). Screw the square block into place on the base so it hangs 1/4" below the 2" x 5" x 3/4" base (Image 2). This 1/4" of wood will act as a lip to push the work piece through the blade.
Screw the 1" x 5" x 3/4"" piece of wood for the handle to the tops of the square blocks.
