Once the glue is tacky, press some mortar into the hole and use a gauging trowel to smooth it over.
Concrete Floor Solutions
It is possible to improve a rough floor surface by adding a self-levelling compound to fill in cracks and gaps.
After removing an old floor covering, such as cork tiles, use floor scrapers and commercial solutions to remove adhesive remains and bitumen-based products before laying a new floor covering. Otherwise, most self-leveling materials laid over a bitumen base will fail to adhere properly and may cause further problems.
To protect a new concrete floor, seal it with a concrete sealer.
