Tips for Heating and Cooling

TIP: There’s usually one spot in a home that’s too hot and/or too cool.

Install awnings.

Install window shades.

Upgrade insulation in walls and attic.

Weather-strip doors and windows.

Caulk seams around outlets to decrease airflow.

Install ductless heating and cooling unit.

TIP: To hide exterior unit, plant low shrubs.

Trade out rugs seasonally: warm for cool weather, grass for hot weather.
