Books for Baby Theme

What better way to sprinkle a new mommy than to fill her new baby’s library with great new books? On the invitation include a note for each guest to bring her favorite children’s book for the baby’s library.

Create a Book Crate

The mommy-to-be will need a place to store the new books for her baby. This is a simple, yet sweet gift for the new baby. Purchase a plain crate from your local craft store, paint and personalize it with the baby’s name. This is sure to be a treasured gift, as well as a fun decoration during the party. Printable Invitation

Often party planning starts with a color scheme, and we’ve created the perfect color palette for this book themed sprinkle. Use our printable striped invitation for inspiration as you choose decor to make your gathering festive. Click here to download the printable invite.

Book Themed Gifts

We used Dr. Seuss as the inspiration for our baby sprinkle. Many of our baby gifts were also based on books by Dr. Seuss. Use your imagination as you look at children’s books, and remember to also buy sweet baby gifts. Bring The Cat in the Hat along with some sweet baby hats. Or Fox in Socks and include some tiny pairs of baby socks.

A Cozy Reading Chair

Pamper the mom-to-be by having a special place for her to sit during the sprinkle. She will love opening all of her new gifts in this comfy reading chair. Or, if she doesn't have a glider for the baby's room yet, this would be a great gift to have guests chip in for. She'll use it for years to come to read to her children.

The Perfect Banner

For party decor, use the pages from a colorful children’s book. A printable template traced and cut out of the pages from a book is a great way to add fun colors and a reading element to your sprinkle. We used pages from an old Green Eggs and Ham book as it fit perfectly with the color scheme we wanted. Get instructions on how to make the bunting and download the banner template.

Cute Cupcakes

Cupcakes are always welcome at any celebration. Dress them up for this book themed baby sprinkle by creating flags using old book pages. Bake your cupcakes in colorful striped cups for perfect presentation. These cupcakes will add a sweet touch to your adorable food table. See how to make the flags

A Bowtie Cookie

Who doesn’t think of Dr. Seuss when you see red and white stripes? These cookies are not only cute to look at, but they taste amazing too. Make your favorite sugar cookie recipe and frost with red and white icing to create the fun striped look.

Mini Fruit Parfait

Everyone loves fresh fruit, and serving it in a layered parfait makes quite an impressive statement. Choose fruits that match the color scheme of the party, and alternate with whipped cream for a fun striped element. Use kiwi, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries to match the color palette of this theme. Your guests will love this refreshing treat. See how to make it.

Who doesn’t love popcorn? We used the book,Hop On Pop, as inspiration for this party snack. Pop a large amount of popcorn ahead of time and pile high in a colorful bowl.

Popcorn Bar

Choose several popcorn seasoning flavors and pour into simple glass shakers to display next to the bowl of popcorn. Provide small containers for your guests to fill with popcorn and then they can choose to add as many seasonings as they want for a customized popcorn treat.
